Using the body to cure focal dystonia

Focal dystonia is a neurological condition which robs many a musician of her or control over the instrument. It seems to be task-specific, and it can hit any musician, but for reason bagpipe players are more prone.  The Globe and Mail had featured this video about dancer Federico Bitti who finally found a cure as developed by Joaquín Farias.

Dr. Joaquín Farias will be in Utrecht from June 30 to July 3, offering private sessions by appointment on neuroplastic training applied to Focal Dystonia rehabilitation.
